Day 5 of Milan Fashion Week Spring 2016 unveiled some stunning and fabulous collections from brands like Salavatore Ferragamo and Missoni.

Consuelo Castiglioni for Marni’s spring collection showed innovative designs, created with unique geometry of color and form. Models walked in slipdresses, vibrant red skirt wore under a black leather coat, black fishnet top with a yellow turtleneck, black wrap coat and lavishly embroidered black cutout tunic over a cotton T-shirt dress. Laura Biagiotti’s futuristic collection showed designs which were very modern, contemporary and artistic in their manner. Orchids printed over linen and over silk were a common theme throughout the collection. Some of Laura Biagiotti’s original dresses from back in the 1970s are also included in the spring 2016 line-up, modernized to fit the day’s needs.

Erika Cavallini’s spring offering had deconstructed classic striped men’s shirts with open backs, tailored wide-leg denim with unfinished cuffs, robelike jackets, vests in natural fabrics, white lace maxi T-shirt dress and silk shantung tunics. Andrea Incontri spring range was filled with oblong and circular shapes which appeared as jour embroidery on outfits such as metallic pink leather A-line mini skirt. Sheer black shirt was adorned with mirror appliques while a silver fabric that resembled aluminum foil was used to create dresses.

MSGM’s spring collection by Massimo Giorgetti was youthful, fresh and chic. He used silhouettes that were mainly long and lean. Silk faille cocktail dresses over gray T-shirts, oversize hoodies over tiered cotton skirts were stunning looks. Duster coats, tunics, extra-long shorts and slipdresses were also showed. Massimiliano Giornetti for Salavatore Ferragamo spring collection showcased an array of dresses which came in shades of black, bright orange and festive multicolored stripes. Long cotton sundresses came with trapeze ruffle at the top and fringed hem while long capes were decorated ruffle motif.

Influenced from nomadic tribes, Trussardi’s bohemian spring collection had oversized dresses made with striped fabrics and washed silk, roomy tailored blazers, maxidress with pleated details, suede double-breasted bomber jacket, slouchy trenchcoats and embellished chiffon dresses with geometric embellishment. Au Jour Le Jour’s vibrant spring collection showed outfits with colorful prints and patterns. Models walked down the runway in colorful sweaters, shiny dresses, leather jackets in blue an orange, sweaters and dresses with stripe details and leather mini-skirts in red and blue.

Angela Missoni took on the essentials for Missoni’s spring-summer 2016 collection. The brand’s signature stripes and zig-zags were out in full effect with long tunics, slouchy pants and oversized sweaters. The lineup also included tank dresses, slipdresses, long cardigans and polo shorts and bikinis as well. Damir Doma’s spring women’s collection was feminine and gorgeous. Damir opted for muted palette of black, white and gray. A crisp, white, oversize shirt was paired with a monochrome tube skirt in a rough patchwork of knits and rectangular panels were knotted together to make feminine dresses and tops.
