London Fashion Week Spring 2016 ended on high note. The last day showed some splendid collections by Christopher Raeburn and Zoë Jordan amongst many others.

Christopher Raeburn’s spring offering included light fabrics, kimono wraps and military shapes. Swaying down the runway were roomy slipdresses with a blurry yellow-and-black flower print, belted shirtdresses and cool jacket-and-shorts suits with geometric details on the sleeves. Ashley Williams’ spring was filled with insect prints, black chiffon and studded leather. There were a bias-cut silk sleeveless dress with a black and white print of giant flies, asymmetric skirt in a contrasting fishnet pattern, one-shouldered black silk gown and black leather jacket with a hot-pink chevron stripe.

Anya Hindmarch’s energetic collection had graphic designs, diamond patterns, chevrons, rainbows and Carrefour logos across her spring bags, clutches and boots. Clothing range included sweatshirts and baseball jackets, intarsia leather tunics, jersey Hot Pants, bodysuits and scarves.

Inspired by the Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, Amanda Wakeley presented a chic and feminine collection.  She transformed her inspiration into loose jumpsuit with a cutout back, and long and full skirts, silky and racer-back tops. Evening silhouettes were smooth and lean. Alexander Lewis’ collection was inspired from French-Lebanese artist Flavie Audi. Inspiration came in the form of leitmotif print, abstract waves which adorned filmy dresses and separates. Swarovski crystal and embroidered embellishments highlighted the collection. Standout look was a filmy skirt embellished with clouds, mirrored cubes and prisms. 2015 LVMH Young Fashion Designer Winner, Marta Marques and Paulo Almeida showcased an appealing collection. The collection was comprised of diaphanous and frilly dresses in tea-stain shades, languid tops slipping off shoulders, tattered chiffon dresses, strong denim outfits and halter tops.
