Coming June Gucci will mark the debut of a unique MADE TO MEASURE capsule collection designed by Creative Director Frida Giannini and Lapo Elkann. This exclusive collection, conceived as “Lapo’s Wardrobe,” will be offered within Gucci’s MADE TO MEASURE program – a personalized, luxury sartorial service for the modern day gentleman – and will be unveiled for the first time during the Spring Summer 2014 Men’s Fashion Week in Milan at the opening of a new dedicated Gucci menswear store in the city’s Brera district.

This unique creative collaboration draws inspiration from Gucci’s Made in Italy tradition and sartorial expertise for a new take on MADE TO MEASURE – encompassing menswear, womenswear, and accessories. The result is a series of ultra luxurious designs in which Frida Giannini’s creative vision meets Lapo Elkann’s passion for interpreting his own Italian legacy of style and sophistication.

The MADE TO MEASURE “Lapo’s Wardrobe” collection will initially be available at Gucci’s boutiques in Milan, London, Paris, New York, Tokyo and Sao Paulo, where specialized staff will assist the client throughout the fabric selection, fittings, finalization and delivery of the garment, which can require from 4 to 6 weeks.

A contemporary statement of classic tailoring, the MADE TO MEASURE “Lapo’s Wardrobe” collection comprises 27 looks – 23 for men and 4 for women. Painstaking attention characterizes each and every piece, and striking details include exclusive linings, vests, ties, suspenders, and handkerchiefs. The collection includes not only MADE TO MEASURE suiting but also accessories such as MADE TO ORDER leather goods and shoes as well as jewelry.
