Kimaya’s annual Midnight Sale is a godsend to young workingwomen and brides to be all over the city.

True to Mumbai’s unspoken Code of conduct, perspective Shoppers arrived fashionably late, to one of the season’s most awaited sales. Beginning with an elegant wine and cheese event yesterday the sale will continue for the next four days, ending on Sunday the 8th of August.

The sale comprises of incredibly ornate bridal ensembles, along with champagne brunch worthy day dresses.  A cobalt Blue dress with rope rosettes by Cue would make for an easy summery day outfit, which would most certainly hold it’s own at an evening event if accessorized well. A sweet tailored grey and white Nidhi Gambir shift number would also make for an excellent “Ooh” moment at a lunch with the girls or flirtatious luncheon with a male companion. For working women eager to make the right impression at an important meeting or presentation, Gauri and Ninika’s soft chiffon navy blue dress, right the by entrance at the Juhu store will prove a life saver, and might just turn into your favorite Go-2 dress for all dressing emergencies.

Those looking for something slightly more traditional and glamorous, head directly to the sari section of the store and feast your eyes on the most gorgeous Greecian influenced, white Shantanu and Nikhil Sari and practically anything by Pam Metha. A moss green sari by Rimple and Harpreet Narula will also prove to be quite a steal, if, it hasn’t already been bought by the host of shoppers that were still rolling into the store at 11:00pm.

With most pieces retailing at 70% off, and a designer roster including the likes of Rohit Bal, Tarun Tahiliani, Rocky S, Rana Gill, Anamika Khanna, Rajesh Pratap Singh, Malini Ramani, and Priya Kataria Puri (to name a few), it might prove prudent to make one’s way to the nearest Kimaya Store well before the 8th.
