When all women aspire to be hot moms and hit the gym to get back into shape, somehow the fashion police has always given a backseat to the would be mums and there has never really been a fashion extravaganza in the maternity wear or the kidswear galaxy.

Here is a brand Kidology that delivers chic to an expectant mom’s wardrobe, and gives the opportunity to don the little ones in the best of kid couture. A unique brand that will bring designer clothing, accessories and furniture for children and expectant mothers to the Indian consumer, launched with its first store at DLF Promenade, Vasant Kunj in New Delhi.

Kidology celebrates with a first of its kind fashion showcase with designers such as Malini Ramani, Gaurav Gupta, Gauri & Nainika, Namrata Joshipura and Ritu Kumar. Also, on display are creations by Maya Nocon, Kidology’s in-house designer and production head. Besides the clothes, the brand offers a fabulous collection of accessories such as handbags and head bands. In collaboration with Vadehra Furnishers, it presents a designer furniture range for kids and expectant moms in child friendly polishing.

Gaurav Gupta says, “When Kidology approached me, it was very exciting for me to work on this project as it gave me an opportunity to use my design sensibility for garments to be worn by real kids. The collection displays a whole new approach to kids wear playing with cats, owls & beetles in a fun manner giving it an animatory look.”

‘Gauri & Nainika’ for Kidology has been inspired by the world of dreams and fantasies that all little girls grow up engrossed in. Keeping with the brand’s core design philosophy of creating ultra feminine styles with an old world charm, their Kidology line offers fairytale-like styles for little girls that would make them feel like a princess.

And Ritu Kumar has two distinct styles, the jersey collection which is a blend of antique Eastern European embellishments with Indian elements while the Indian collection stems from the vibrant colors of Rajasthan with the use of lehriya, block printing and gota.
