One of the biggest fashion weeks in South-East Asia, the Jakarta Fashion Week hit the grounds on 1st November. The first two days kicked off with the anticipated amount of enthusiasm and fervour. Soko Wyanto, Fbudi, Monstore, Peggy Hartanto, Dian Pelangi, Etu by Restu Anggraini and Tex Saverio were a few of the many labels showcased on day 1 of Jakarta Fashion Week.

580The collections were a mix and match couture, ready to wear, formal, semi-formal and street-style casual. Some designers showcased true South-East Asian fashion style while others broke all conventions with respect to embellishments, add-ons and on-surface prints. The silhouettes were mostly free flowing and mildly structured. Trendy hand bags and elegant accessories proved to be among the high points for all designers. Also, the individualistic, extremely innovative and intricate prints and textures were something that the onlookers couldn’t sway their eyes off!

580 1The second day kicked off with labels Dini Pratiwi, House of Iranty, Poppy Theodorin, Monotari Ono, Somarta, Desaya and many others.

A couple of evening wear collections enthralled the runway along with furry embellishments, ethnic prints and trendy accessories. Crop tops and palazzo pants, evening gowns, jumpsuits and a couple of formal dresses were amongst the major highlights. An ecstasy of mild and earthy colours left the audience mind-blown and surprised as ever. Embellishments like layers, applique prints, hand bags and belts were the highlighting features of the collections.

580 2As per the collections showcased on the first two days and the impeccable talented designers, the Jakarta Fashion Week is surely going to leave an ever-lasting impact on the fashion world in the South-East Asia.
