Milan Fashion week ended with Giorgio Armani stellar showcase on the last day along with previews by Asian designers supported by National Italian Fashion Chamber.

There have been lots of shaggy fur, furry footwear, thick knits, big gloves, droopy caps, face-framing neck-warmers with a focus on soft tailoring and comfortable looks at the Milan runway this season. Blazers tended to be long, and paired with loose-fitting trousers, overcoats had fur collars. Shoes were with big soles and rubberized studs or built-in socks.

Designers also opted for a rough look with half-finished accents, colours were deeper in urban shades of gray and black, with flashes of white, and colour blocks.
Giorgio Armani described the collection as “evolving codes to define an idea of elegance tuned-in to the present, but rich with heritage”. The collection shown at the brand’s HQ were long military-style greatcoats, velvet jackets, oversized shaggy shearling coats, leather macs, bombers and enormous padded jackets.
Models also wore gloves and some wore a garments referred to as “sleeve-scarves” an item that has jumper sleeves combined with a scarf wrapped around the neck.
