The iconic wrap dress, a symbol of power and independence for women since 70s had been a mere figment of fashion if a Belgian American fashion designer would not have foreseen its unique form and functionality, not to mention the style quotient.

The lady being referred is none other than celebrity fashion designer Diane Von Furstenberg who will be visiting for the very first time in India this week as a part of Luxury Conference, to be held in Mumbai.

A philanthropist and a mentor, Diane Von Furstenberg introduced the brand Diane Von Furstenberg to India’s fashionistas through Priya Sachdev & Charu Sachdev store ‘Kitsch’ and has also received the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award from the council of Fashion Designers of America in 2005.
