Fashion trends are leaning towards Earthy Hues rapidly and clean designs, made from natural and organic materials. Sourendra Kumar Das divulges that the earthy hues are considered to be the next big thing for all kinds of fashion…

The organic quality of autumn gold, warm summer oranges, raw elemental colors of cardamom, anise and cumin creates a sense of grand scale and awe. Healing skin tones through nutmeg and cinnamon, appearing soft and hazy upshots are some of the re-invented classics creating fashion spotlights.

In 2012, layers and earthy hues will rule the fall fashion trends for women. “As a Taurus woman that is the sign of Earth, I naturally gravitate to the pulsating and throbbing earthy color palette of tans, camel, orange, bronze, dark blood red and the likes. The colors of soil trees rock moss attract me anyways as I am an ardent lover of nature,” revealed designer-cum-socialite Nisha Jamwal.

Frieda Pinto undoubtedly is one of the sophisticatedly dressed women in India, with her raw, instinctive and minimalistic style. “Pinto’s sartorial elegance and neutral features make her the subcontinent’s most famous face on the global radar and a fashion force to be reckoned with,” explained Sanchita Ajjampur, coveted fashion designer who recently dressed the actress with tarragon coloured kaftan with cayenne colored dress.

Another celebrity would be Dev Patel who has a more casual sense of fashion that sets of his innovative charm. “Patel likes to layer his outfits to achieve a hint of smart geeky appeal. Pinto recently picked up one of my signature poppy coloured men’s cardigans, in jersey and muslin for him that was collapsible and supple,” added the modish designer.

Ossie Clark is well known for his use of earthy hues and moss crepe fabric and Walter Albini, the father of fashion ready-to-wear in famous for using muted earthy colours. “Amongst the contemporaries Romeo Gigli and Yohji Yamamoto silhouettes in earthy hues featuring drapery in varying textures are adorable,” concluded the designer who is a lover of Alber Elbaz and Consuelo Castiglioni whose collections sport voguish earthy hues.
