Taking India to an unprecedented international level of fashion, Meghalaya based designer Daniel Syiem showcased his collections at the Fashion International Show during the recently concluded London Fashion Week Spring Summer 2015. With the privilege of being selected among the six designers alone, for the fashion show, the designer effectively displayed Indian roots and fashion ideologies in-what is known to be-one of the most popular fashion weeks of the world.

580Speaking of the collection showcased, Daniel enthusiastically exhibited creations inspired from his personal and rich heritage, nature and wilderness of North East India. Going eco-friendly and keeping the sustainability factor intact, the collections were made from the most natural, hand woven and organic textiles and fabrics. The colour palette for the collection was equally mild and awe-inspiring, including turmeric, violet, olive, indigo and ivory to name a few.

300Besides, the looks were also accessorised sober and simplistic jewellery made from wood, bamboo and pinecone, which over and all added the required grace and originality to the collection. Comprising of exuberant shirts, shirt dresses, jumpsuits, crop shirts, tops, sleek dresses and flare bottom pants amongst others, the collection was an ideal casual and semi-formal wear.

Well, belonging to the most diverse part of our country, Daniel surely did wonders to represent the same at an international front, thereby enabling the onlookers to get a sneak peek into our cultural heritage and acknowledge it at the same time.
