Christopher Bailey takes his final bow at London fashion week during Burberry’s fall 2018 runway show.
Taking to Instagram Bailey wrote “my final collection here at Burberry is dedicated to and in support of – some of the best and brightest organisations supporting LGBTQ+ youth around the world. There has never been a more important time to say that in our diversity lies our strength, and our creativity.”
The February collection was all about time, reflecting the past, celebrating the present and heralding the future. A capsule of reissued pieces from the 1980s to 1990s discovered in the Burberry archive went down the runway. There were patchwork of characters and identities in riot of colours, reimagining the traditional techniques to create exquisite new finishes.
