For the last eight years, CHANEL has installed its ephemeral boutique, from April to October, in the legendary village of Saint Tropez, each time with an original décor. For the seventh year running the La Mistralée townhouse welcomes the House, and has been transformed once again.

This season Paris makes a stop-over in the famous marina. The cut stones typical of Parisian facades, notably those of the Ritz Paris, find themselves inside the boutique with a luxurious harmony that shapes each room. On the floor, unpolished beige stone traces an understated line. Sections of slanting wall break up the strict geometry of this space. White alcoves with a black background, like closed windows illuminated with LEDs, are integrated into the walls and provide settings for the season’s accessories. Stone monoliths surge up from the floor and present the handbags and shoes, as well as the Coco Crush Fine Jewellery collection and the latest J12 and BOY∙FRIEND watch creations. A selection of High Jewellery will be also presented in July and August.

In the verrière, a glass-roofed room, the centre of the beige stone floor welcomes a square rug with red bricks, a nod to certain Parisian edifices. It is echoed by a brick drop ceiling. Once again, the exterior finds itself within, breaking from the traditional codes of a boutique. A long linear rail of 22 meters suspended from the ceiling presents the Ready-to-Wear pieces.

This very particular red brick is also used to cover the pool house. No less than ten thousand bricks were required to complete it. Staggered and sealed with pinkish-beige cement, they form an elegant mashrabiya. Inside, surrounded by sections of cut-stone wall positioned diagonally, CHANEL has recreated a veritable made-to-measure luxury dressing room. It’s an invitation to feel at home in complete intimacy, at that moment when it’s time to choose an outfit for day or night.

The garden is a peaceful haven. A small terrace is flowered with cacti in terracotta pots. The swimming pool is tiled with beige travertine. Armchairs and deck chairs in bronze and chocolate leather beckon clients to sit back and relax around the little industrial-style tables.

The new ephemeral boutique in Saint-Tropez will be open from April 22nd to October 2nd 2017.
