The accumulation of items in his ‘museum-setting’ store is perhaps the best extension of his clothing line, playing on his quirky, retro yet contemporary outlook. The hand-picked collection included altars, curated-art-turned-canvas, retro-typewriters, barber-shop inspired furniture, custom-made helmets, bikes, lighters, antique cameras, ties, radios, luggage pieces, early 19th century sewing machines and other pieces of art that were on display at his flagship boutique, housed in a 200-year old building in Colaba.
The exhibition will also showcase a range of 1920’s to the 195o’s eyewear including an early range of rare aviators and a caravan series from brands like Ray-Ban that have been restored. The unique pieces of one-off eyewear, distinctive retro tea shades have been popularized by legendary Beatle member, John Lennon, Elton John and Lady Gaga. The collection also includes restored-watches from early ranges of Seiko, Rikoh, the West End Watch Co., and even the good old HMT!
