Ritu Kumar, with her Chanderi collection has successfully brought back the rich heritage of Chanderi Saree, inspired by the colorful history of Chanderi, a picturesque village in Madhya Pradesh. The collection mirrors the hard work and dedication of the weavers in its design and aesthetic.
The complete collection is the result of a century old weaving process, which combines fine textured fabric of unbleached cotton yarn with silk and Zari which are then embroidered with gold woven borders creating exquisite pieces.
