Working on the motto that less is better, she prefers not to repeat designs, instead focuses on making each piece a stellar creation with intricate detailing. Educated in the United Kingdom at Central Saint Martins and at Parsons School Of Design in New York, she started her affair with design at 12 and has never stopped since. Sunaina Puri arrived in Mumbai in 2006 and opened her Colaba studio with her artisans to create her visions.
With a hope to take the fashion world by storm, she launched her label ‘Armaan’ in 2009 which revolves around mixing east and west with style and ease. Her clothes are easy to slip into and seem to always make a statement of their own. She represents flamboyancy and likes to develop extraordinary intricacy in each of her creations. The label let her clients choose from range of simple lace shirts to glamorous and elegant dresses as well as mens shirts and fabulous sherwanis.
Sunaina has showcased her collections at Lakme Fashion Week and her designs have been adorned by famous Bollywood celebrities like Bipasha Basu, Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif, Parineeti Chopra, Kajal Aggarwal, Malaika Arora Khan and Karishma Kapoor to name a few.
Her designs are currently retailing from her flagship store in Mumbai, Soiree in Dubai, Aza, Oak tree, Ananya, Ensemble and Kimaya in Mumbai.
