She is known for creating strong and funky accessories for people and animals. An alumnus of NIFT, Shalini Gupta combines traditional Indian methods with international trends, but retains a contemporary feel. Her forte is the intelligent use of craft – painting, crochet, macramé, embroidery and knitting.

In 2000, she decided to launch her own label ‘What’s Pink’. Taking inspiration from beautiful art and design culture of India, the label uses latest techniques which are fresh and young. Known for its accessories line, the brand also produces home accessories and light travel luggage. Proud of being indigenously Indian, she attempts to push threshold of fashion, creativity and art.

Shalini has been showcasing her collection at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week and has done various exhibitions. Her designs are available at multi-designer stores Dcube in Hyderabad, Evoluzione in Chennai and Bangalore, Hot Pink in Jaipur and Mumbai and Talisman in Delhi. Internationally her label is retailing from Kraze and Sauce in Dubai and Le Rosh in Jakarta.
