The Chennai based designer Shahrukh Zaidi hails from the fresh genre of accessory designers, creating beautiful ‘it’ handbags for the modern women of today. Originally hailing from Shahjanpur in Uttar Pradesh, Shahrukh embarked upon the journey of designing by completing his Post Graduation in Leather Design from NIFT Delhi in 1999. Subsequently he worked for 13 years in the industry and with the profound work exposure he excelled in the niceties of fashion.
An individual who believe in taking one step at a time, Shahrukh decided to garner his experience by amalgamating the international sensibility with Indian ethos with his label studio SRZ in 2011, a line of Men & Women Leather Accessories.
Over the years Shahrukh has created his unique style that subtly draws from his Indian roots, craft and artisan techniques that stand apart due to their ergonomics, careful detailing and clean lines that speak of a Global finesse. His work epitomizes simplicity, yet a closer look reveals his obsessive attention to detail.
