Delhi based bespoke luxury shoe designer Samir Singh runs a label ‘Jakaal’ to create the beautiful one-of-its-kind pieces. Graduated from Footwear Design and Development Institute, India in 2003, he always believed that the shoes carry all style quotients which reflect the personality of the wearer. He traveled across the world to find his niche and real calling and it was the craft of Italy which he honed himself in and learnt it precisely mastering over every detail and stitch. Soon he tied up with some of the leading Italian shoe manufacturers who worked for international brands like Tod’s, among many others to produce his first line of women’s shoes under his label- Samir Singh.
It was in the year 2005 that Samir launched his first collection of women’s footwear. He initially retailed out of stores like Kimaya and Ensemble. In 2007 he started the first line of his bespoke footwear. Since 2008 the Samir’s line of footwear has been manufactured in the same factory which manufactures shoes for the likes of Manolo blahnik and Christian Louboutin. He launched his men’s footwear ready to wear line in Van Heusen Men’s Week 2010.
Samir’s design philosophy is simple yet very versatile. He draws inspiration from Salvatore Ferragamo’s work. His vision is to create shoes which will become icons of style and emblems of creativity- unique and avant-garde. Each design is created by Samir Singh and is a part of a limited edition collector’s series. So each design is one of a kind with no replicas.
The label offers spectacular designs in sole-wear in a plethora of colours. Only the finest material is used in structuring and adorning each shoe. The craftsmanship and detailing are unequaled; each design is treated like a piece of art. The result is that each shoe exudes delicate finesse sourced from across the world.
