It’s her childhood dream to create the extraordinary jewels which took Mira Gulati to embark upon a journey of passion and all inundated with ideas she headed to GIA, Gemologist Institute of America, California, while completing her graduation from Babson College.

The young, ambitious, talented and now armed with professional training, Mira launched her own label ‘Mirari’ in 2007 and soon she declared her presence in the world of luxury by opening her first flagship store in DLF Emporio in 2008. In September 2010, Mira was awarded with the ‘Jewellery Designer of the Year’ award for a pair of diamond and sapphire encrusted peacock earrings.

Over the time Mira created heirlooms using only the rarest and unblemished stones from across the world, with intervention of gold inspired by a myriad theme. Her contemporary jewels with an international appeal have an underlying tone of Indianness and her unique style attracted the attention of elite clientele from India and abroad.

It’s her international experience and exposure as well as her deep appreciation for the exquisite design heritage of native India which gave her a pioneer status in an exciting design revolution where east and west seek inspiration, each from the other. Over the time the New Delhi based designer established a reputation for creating individually crafted treasures and dazzling limited edition ‘must-haves’ for today’s discerning buyers catering to the clique seeking exclusive designs using the rarest unblemished stones sourced from across the country.

Moreover, her forte to create pieces embracing aesthetics of thousands of years of India’s design heritage, including extravagant concepts from Raj and Mughal eras gave her an edge amongst the rapidly increasing base of exquisite jewellery lovers. In her own words: ‘Indian jewellery has come of age. Mirari gives me the freedom to express the confidence, power and attitude of today’s women. It also gives me the opportunity to say something about the way I want our modern India to be.’

The designer currently retails from her flagship stores in Delhi and Mumbai.
