She plunged herself into world of fashion after winning a Beauty Pageant.
A graduate in Arts from Sophia College Ajmer. She also holds a one year diploma in interior design from Jenson & Nicholson, kolkata.
Armed with a Fashion course from prestigious, she begins designing for her family accessory business which led her to work with “Mantero” a leading Italian fashion house-who design for the house of YSL,Ungaro,Gian-Franco Ferre and Trussadi..
Travel, people, art, history are her work inspirations. Her exposure to various places & culture has nourished her talent.
With a design Philosophy that is distinctively feminine & refined the label presents evening wear with styles in high & demi couture her designs are crafted by combining corsetry with tailoring & drapery.
Besides her own label which she launched in 2005, she profoundly handles the Kyra brand as well.
It has been a long journey in her career that dabbled from being a Femina Miss India -2nd runner up & representing her country at the Miss International Pageant in Japan in 1992 at 19 yrs to modeling to a TV anchor to merchandiser to businesswoman but it is Fashion that began my journey & continues to be, says Komal.
