Designer Kanika Saluja applauded for her label Anaikka is a Philadelphia College of textile design and engineering graduate. The designer has spent her childhood days in Delhi. It was since a very tender age, Kanika was introduced to the mantra of craftsmanship and textiles as her mother possessed  various textile beading factories which has produced beautiful adornments for the ace labels like Roberto Cavalli and Adriana Papell.

After completing her graduation the designer moved to New York to help her brother launch his line of avant garde women’s wear titled Rishta. Gradually Kanika’s passion for individual style and leveraging her father’s factory capabilities, made the designer come up with her own collection. Her voyage started with innovative embellished t-shirts which received a lot of acclamation and were quickly picked up by the Barney’s, Henry Bendel, Nordstrom and various other speciality stores. In the year 2003 Kanika decided to name her range of assortment as Nikka New York. It was collection with the commencement of Nikka New York that Kanika evolved into a designer and stylist. The label executed alluring high-end women’s wear apparel and accessories.  Her celebrity clientele list spotted names like Rihanna, Paris Hilton, Jenny McCarthy, Sarah Mac Lachlan, Mischa Barton, Kimberly Stewart, Ashanti, Brandy, Vanessa Minnillo, Tyra Banks and 2007 Miss Universe Nicole Linkletter.  

After buzzing New York with her tantalizing line, the designer shifted back to India with a desire to be around her family and mainly because of her marriage. It was then Anaikka came into existence with a ready to wear line to hit the Indian market. The success of her ready to wear range made Kanika augment her label by including an exclusive accessory line. Like New work, India too credited the designer’s creativity and innovation with a tiara. The reflection of symmetry between architectural shapes and vintage chic sensibility is well flaunted by Anaikka’s feminine silhouettes while the label’s accessory line is highly inspired by architectural and industrial shapes. A lot of metallic embellishments are bestowed by the label. 

 At the recently concluded Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week A/W 2012 Kanika debut her collection while in New York the designer is frequent to fashion weeks and is known amongst the top designers.

At present the designer carries her retail endeavor from the Ogaan and the Ensemble.
