Reviving the sense of royalty and Rajputana with a true Indian sense, designer Himmat Singh is famous for designing rich and classic style of men’s wear specialising in bandhgala suits, sherwanis, hunting suits etc. He launched his label ‘Studio Himmat’ in March 2000, which is replete of Indian wear, formal wear, western outfits, casual wear and ethnic fusion lines.
Based in Jaipur, this designer truly defines the picture of the prince and maharajas in Rajasthan during the ancient times, and the royalty and magnificence attached to them. The main attraction of his creations is the way he manages to keep intact the wearer’s grace and individualistic style, despite the advancing times, technology and transforming trends.
Moreover, his inspirations take one further into the beauty and oneness of Indian cultures. Belonging to one of the most culturally rich states of India, Himmat is extremely fond of Rajasthan’s diverse traditions, its vibrant colours, arts and craft. Also, he uses extremely natural fabrics for his creations, which mostly include cotton, linen, tweed, denims, velvet and brocades with embellishments of zardozi, gota pati and detailed hand work.
Having participated in acclaimed portals like Rajasthan Fashion Week and the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week, the designer has come a long way ever since the launch of his label, wherein a wide-scale media coverage and an increasing amount of buyers have been a part of his success.
