Graduate of apparel manufacture and dress design from S.N.D.T University, Arpita Mehta won the most glamorous designer of the year award in her graduating fashion show. She worked under renowned designer Manish Malhotra for 2 years.Her label ‘Arpita Mehta’ launched in 2007, concentrates on understated, attractive and detailed silhouettes. Her collections comprise of contemporary ethnic as well as fusion ensembles largely focusing on intricate embroidery consisting of vibrant anchor threads and mirror work. Arpita has her studio in Juhu, Mumbai.
The designer has showcased her collection at Lakme Fashion Week 2103 and her designs have been adorned by Bollywood actresses like Deepika Padukone, Madhuri Dixit, Kareena Kapoor, Soha Ali Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Shruti Hassan to name a few.
Her designs are available at Aza and Amara in Mumbai, Aza in Delhi and Chandigarh and Avakasa in Ahmedabad.
