Arjun Khanna – the designer and the label – is synonymous with the best in bespoke menswear in India. Over the last 20 years, Arjun’s Avant Garde philosophies on fashion and style together with his innate entrepreneurship have been integral to his contribution to men’s fashion in India.

Arjun had an early tryst with fashion. Graduating from the American College of fashion in London, art had always been his first love – the only subject he excelled in since childhood. Then followed a course at the Blackheath College of Art in London and a photographic course from Pillia`s school of photography.
Khanna returned to India in 1989 to start off with a men`s wear line. Not one to work within set boundaries; experiments with trends have always interested him. His silhouettes vary without prior warning. The garment appeal is not restricted to its outer appearance only. The lining of the garment plays a major role so do the seams hems fusing and the internal mechanisms.
It was in 2003 that the Arjun Khanna label went corporate – Arjun Khanna Couture Pvt. Ltd. was established.
He participated in LlFW 2003, where he presented his entire men`s wear collection. Thereafter, he was chosen as one of the Designers` to present the Lakme Grand Final collection entitled `Treasures`, which was held in October 2003. This also involved working closely with Lakme on creating and endorsing a range of their products; which were then retailed under the Arjun Khanna label. He has also been extensively involved in designing, styling and executing the `Raymond Suiting Campaign`.
Garments with clean styling and cut, embroidery used judiciously and a good finish make an Arjun ensemble. Arjun’s clientele includes Shekhar Kapoor, who wore his creation for the Oscars and Zakir Hussain, the tabla maestro, who is habitually outfitted by him. He also has an enviable clientele amongst the rich and the famous in the corporate world – Gautam Singhania, Anand Mahindra and Rahul Bajaj swear by his outfits. His loyalists have also made a mark in the fashion and film industry. Right from Hollywood legend Will Smith to the desi heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor, all have donned his creations. Khanna believes that clothes are an extension of one`s expression. He has truly established a new standard of understated elegance creating classic masterpieces collection after collection.
