Renowned fashion house, Oscar de la Renta launched its resort wear collection 2016 by Peter Copping.

For the latest collection, Peter used late designer Oscar de la Renta’s signature motifs. He brilliantly used hibiscus palette of yellow, red, and deep pink, dashed with Caribbean blues.

The collection had jackets, scuba knits worn with A-line, pencil skirts in contrasting prints and weaves and coatdresses with a modern edge. The evening wear collection had evening bodices with swimsuit detailing, a short luncheon-to-beach caftan and gowns flourished with cascades of Spanish flamenco ruffles.

There were laser-cut black neoprene “lace” attached to a Chinese yellow faille dress with jet beads, appliqués of thick cotton lace in contrasting colors and blossom embroideries. Coats were made from geometric sections of matte suede and patent leather that suggested David Hicks’s sixties textile designs.
