Luxury brand Mulberry’s Spring/ Summer 2014 collection ‘In its style and attitude’ showcased at ongoing London Fashion Week was influenced by modernist overtones from Sixties London juxtaposed with the opulence of a quintessential English country house and gardens.
The collection embraced both familiarity and modernity, working with classic prints and textures. Loose swinging shapes, florals and luxurious leather outfits, wide-leg trousers, lighter, breezier outfits, including loose pale blue or peach T-shirt-and culottes combos with sheer horizontal panels were refreshing and very appealing. The colors were limited to palette of icy blue, cream, navy and orange. There were envelope clutches, larger shoppers and a small boxy shoulder bag.
Adding fun to the show were bulldogs dressed in the same floral patterns as its human companions.
