For the first and the last time ever, the luxury label Louis Vuitton’s Resort show was unique and pompous. Held on the square in front of the Prince’s Palace of Monaco, Nicolas Ghesquiere’s show was also the brand’s first resort show and was replete of a youthful collection charismatic colour combinations and surprising effects.

With a slight influence of the seventies, the resort wear collection included animal prints; see through skin fit dresses, leather coats, pan suits and many more. Ideally the collection catered to both formal and informal occasions and was filled with embellishments, 3D embroideries and accessorised add-ons.

Moreover, the Resort wear collection served to be extremely crucial for Louis Vuitton, keeping in mind its strategy of growing customer base in the comparatively warm, coastal areas like Brazil, China etc.

Meanwhile, Ghesquiere made the seating arrangements and the ramp’s appearance in such a fashion that the show seemed to be exclusive for the clients.

The cheerful guest list included Charlotte Gainsbourg, Jennifer Connelly, Adèle Exarchopoulos, Gong Li and Zhang Ziyi among others.
