Alber Elbaz, Lanvin’s celebrated creative director, reveals his first children’s wear collection, Lanvin Petites.

But if you look into the history of Lanvin a line for children is actually something nestled in the roots of this noted French house.Back in 1908. Children’s Clothing actually became Lanvin’s first clothing department, soon after taken by the line mothers sought after similar clothes for themselves.

This new luxury line has 25 products for little girls age 4 to 10, reflecting on the tradition of the brand. But if you’ve got ideas about buying one of these dresses, so to tell you that these little frocks come in a range of exquisite and luxurious materials, such as washed organza embroidered with crystals, satin ribbon and grosgrain, draped or pleated tulle. In other words: dry clean only. To accompany the dresses, fairy godfather Elbaz has even conjured up teeny Lanvin ballerinas in a patent, satin-finished material, crowned with a little pompom made out of tulle. This new collection designed by Alber will hit Lanvin boutiques and other stockists by the end of November.
