British musician Florence Welch was recently announced as Gucci’s new ambassador for watches and jewelry. To commemorate, the House hosted a press conference at a private event at the Somerset House in London, where the latest product novelties were also displayed.
The choice of Florence Welch as brand ambassador came naturally, as her personal style is in harmony with Gucci’s eccentric spirit, as envisioned by Creative Director, Alessandro Michele. Indeed, the two are longstanding friends and are admirative of each other’s creative work.
While Florence Welch wearing G-Timeless automatic timepiece, which features an eclectic mix of decorative bees, a heart and stars, said, ‘When Alessandro and I first met, we bonded over our love of jewelry. I truly believe that what he is creating at Gucci today is magic, and I am so excited to be part of it.’
