In celebrating its 150th anniversary, Chopard’s latest edition comprises 15 watches featuring an original design and testifying to Chopard’s legendary inventiveness and expertise in the twin fields of fine jewellery and watch making.

The irresistibly mischievous mango-stealing macaque monkey appears to be actually moving as he hangs from a creeper preparing to pounce on other fruits, cleverly represented by moving brilliants. The diamond-set rose gold bezel creates a stunning contrast with the luxurious greenery of the jungle adorning the iridescent mother-of-pearl dial. Meanwhile, the bronze-tinted strap adds the perfect final touch of class and character.

After the warmth of the tropical forest, Chopard sweeps us off to the vast cool reaches of the ice floe, with a polar bear playing on frozen dial. Three moving diamonds symbolise the crystalline sparkle of ice in the sunshine. The gold crown is paved with brilliants reminiscent of frost flakes.  This elegant and luminous watch fitted with a light grey strap is a perfect way of enlivening a cashmere sweater or freshening up a summer dress in a heat wave!

The same fanciful touch and the same concern for realism pervade the timepiece featuring Antarctic penguins. Probably awaiting their turn to go hunting, each of the web-footed creatures adorning the mother-of-pearl dial is shown in a different stance, once again creating the impression of a live-action scene. A sprinkling of moving diamonds lends extra radiance to the spectacle, as do the diamonds adorning the bezel of this resolutely modern creation that is sure to appeal to devotees of graphic compositions.
