Pearl Academy of Fashion lately organized ‘Thread Works 2011’, a two-day exhibition of Textile Design final year students’ projects at The Stainless Gallery, New Delhi.

The exhibition offered a glimpse of the myriad of creative talent and student’s individualistic design philosophy. It showcased the work of the 26 graduating students in the form of Apparel, home furnishings, floor coverings, accessories, pet’s collection etc.

The exhibition was based on various themes which were represented by the students of textile design department through their works. The themes which included, “Brahmand”, “Time Machine”, “the Virtual World” and “Marrakesh” and many more, portrayed rustic and primitive forms of life, combination of ancient and primitive times, technology, and mysticism of the desert respectively.

The best of the collections at ‘Thread Works 2011’ were acknowledged and  later awarded to Shanel Gupta ,the Most Innovative Collection award whereas Most Commercially Viable Collection was of Ishita Parakh. Best Design Collection was awarded to Mansee Jain.
