Jewellery designer Amrita Hans specializes in contemporary semi-precious jewelry and accessories. Her jewelry is a fusion of her strong Indian roots and her travel experiences overseas.

Traveling through the bazaars of India, her imagination is always in a state of awe and when this awe turns into calm, a collection evolves. She enjoys using various elements with different textures in designs like polished silver (sometimes plated), soft silks, wood, leather, shells, etc. Her work is an expression of her imagination through her experiences.

She has exhibited her work with number of organizations like The German Chambers of Commerce in Delhi, The Indian Merchant Chambers (IMC) and ‘Design One’ in Mumbai. She has also showcased her jewelry in Paris at Bijorca (Eclat De Mode) in September2004 and at the Delhi Fashion Week in September 2008 and March 2009.

Amrita is a lover of neckpieces and wanted to create something innovative with the mundane accessory. In a move to the avant-garde, she envisioned a creative idea – the jeweled scarf. The scarves, perfect summer accessory this season, are hand crafted using pure silk fabric and a refined quality of semi-precious stones so each piece feels like a prized possession.

Amrita has also specially designed a jeweled scarf for a French designer ‘Daniel Jouvance’ and received royalty for the same. Many celebrities like Kiran Majumdar Shaw, Malini Ramani and Sundari Khan have become big fans of Amrita’s  new style statement accessory. There are many versions of the jeweled scarf and she constantly keeps re-inventing the look.
