A journey through world cinema by India’s most exciting design expert, 51 Buckingham Gate, Taj Suites and Residences, London unveiled its new Cinema Suite created by acclaimed Indian designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee. 

Talking  about his inspiration and  intricate details of the art work and precious cinema-related artefact’s, Sabyasachi took Dr. Chiranjeevi for a private tour, giving him nuances of the Cinema Suite and its insight from motion pictures.From the imposing study inspired by the great masters like Satyajit Ray, Francis Ford Cuppola, Bergman to the cultured Kitsch living room inspired by World Cinema leaders like Majidi, Wong Kar-Wai, Almodovar, the Monroe inspired bedroom to the colonial inspired bedroom reminiscent of the works of maestros like Guru Dutt, Merchant Ivory and Bimal Roy, it is a fascinating visual and tactile journey.

Inspired most notably by 1940’s and 1950’s Hollywood as well as the Indian Cinema era of the 1950’s.  Guests will find reference to Francis Ford Coppola in the study, The Stepford Wives in the kitchen, sense the golden Hollywood era of Rita Hayworth and Marilyn Monroe in the Red Lipstick Room before travelling via the Orient Express hallway to the Indian Cinema Room. Here,design draws from the lives of renowned Indian artists such as Guru Dutt and Merchant Ivory and  classic Indian narratives likeSahib , Biwi Aur Ghulam and Heat & Dust.
