Pratima Pandey Show at AIFW SS’16
    October 8, 2015

    Review

Pratima Pandey’s spring collection was clearly inspired by Rococo art and architecture movement with a play on shadow work.

Pulling colors from the art work ‘The Swing’ by Fragonard, the collection showcased a masterful use of Dabka, Ari and Parsi embroidery as well as several other material techniques. Chanderi was the fabric of the hour and the silhouettes were clean, simple and elegant.

The USP of the show was the print work embossed on the clothes that were primarily made in fabrics like crepe, georgettes and chiffon. Some of the pieces that grabbed eyeballs were Peshawar top, Ellora top, Lido maxi dress, Chandra jacket and the Rio dress.
