    Review

Designer Nikhil Thampi brought the glamour of 1990’s period of Bollywood on the ramp with his amazing and colorful collection.

Adding mood to the collection were sparkling materials in colors like yellow, gold, gunmetal, white and black. The designer presented semi Indian silhouettes, flowing maxis, gowns, soft blazers and waist coats. Pre-stitched sari, halter choli and sarong, slit plunge neck gown, a gold pantsuit and a one-shoulder backless number perfectly matched to the Bollywood theme.

The cross over long sleeved gold cropped top was teamed with white bell- bottoms while a leather bra was wore under a glittering jacket. Giant lapels on the luminous trench coat imparted a masculine touch on the other hand a black/gold halter leather strapped jumpsuit was the perfect lounge wear.

Leather was the prominent part of the collection which was seen on bodice to hold figure hugging maxis or as harnesses for midi creations. The show ended with a dazzling gold and gunmetal lamé gowns with high slits.
