With his mesmerizing ‘sculpt’ collection, Gaurav Gupta took audience to a new land of fantasy. The line stunningly captured the synergy between the movement and form.

The collection brought sharp, structured and detailed silhouettes which flawlessly married the theme. Ultra glamorous ensembles came alive with valiant colors like moondown gray, albatross black, showtime ivory and reminiscent red. Garments were given a new level of elegance with opulent sculpted textures. The fabrics used were mostly neoprene, tulle, silks and georgettes.

It began with black and white looks with a blend of sharp tailoring and fluid drapery. Adding to the theatrics and craftsmanship were the Ostentatious origami, foil treatment, monochrome prints, gigantic ruffles and an interplay of sheer and texture with strategically placed surface embellishments on red, white and black gowns. One shoulder gowns with mermaid like ruffles and side cut-outs stood out and so did the monochrome abstract prints on gowns referencing an undulating landscape.

Showstopper, Kareen Kapoor Khan sashayed down the ramp in very elegant black sheer, sculpted gown with ruffles and fishtails.
