Elephants, wildlife and nature in general have been the biggest inspirations at Good Earth since its inception 21 years ago. As it joins hands with the Elephant Parade, a global charity solely dedicated to ensuring the survival of the Asian Elephant.

In the spirit to raise awareness about the environment, Good Earth extends its support to the Elephant Parade, a social enterprise and global movement that will be hosted across Jaipur, Delhi and Mumbai this year.

Using a mix of mediums such as acryllic Paint, gold powder paint, lacquer and custom handwoven benarsi brocade, Good Earth has created two exclusive designs for the parade this year:

The first elephant is called ‘Van Vaibhav’, which represents the Splendour of the Forest. Van Vaibhav is at the core of the Good Earth ethos and has been our guiding design philosophy for 21years. It speaks of the splendour of the moon, the stars, the rising sun, the winds, the sky, the vegetation, the animals, birds, rivers, trees and mountains… and how we are all a part of this splendour.

Whilst,‘Tara Astamangala’, the second elephant features a design interpretation of the “eight auspicious symbols”, known as the astamangala – they represent the offerings that Vedic gods presented to Sakyamuni Buddha upon his enlightenment. We have depicted the 8 as a composite crest as they are often portrayed in the Buddhist tradition.
