Finally, the fashion freak fashionistas have stepped in Milan for the mind-throbbing Milan Fashion Week Spring Summer 2015. The day saw some of the high ending fashion labels on the runway, starting with Angelos Bratis, Stella Jean, Andrea Incorti, Gucci, I’m Isola Marras, Fay, Alberta Ferreti, No. 21 and a few more.

580 3To start with Alberta Ferrati, the designer’s creations were dominated by the mild and soothing essence of the nude peach colour. A mix and mash of the evening and the day wear, the ensembles were extensively made glorious with applique floral motifs and elegant surface prints.

However, for Andrea Incorti and Angelos Bratis, it was all about luscious evening wear and glamorous Hawaiian looks. Where the former preferred more vibrant and vivacious combinations of colours for its gowns, dresses and midis among others, the latter stuck to being minimalistic, with the use of some basic pastel colours and free flowing silhouettes.

580 1Moving on, for Fay, Fausto Puglisi and Francesco Scognamiglio, keeping it street style chic yet extremely exuberant and glamorous was at the core. Of the three, Fay presented the most playful collection of all times, ideal for all sorts of casual hangouts and parties. Fausto Puglisi, on the other hand, kept himself more attached to sophistication along with the additional bling and shine of the disco theme. Francesco stood unique among all, showcasing a couple of evening wear dresses made in the attractive see through fabric, embellished with intricate floral surface and 3D embroideries.

Speaking of Gucci and I’m Isola Marras, the collections from the two luxurious designer labels proved to be the surpassing elements of the entire day. Gucci’s Frida Giannini presented a marvellous formal and semi-formal collection, true to the brand’s signature style statements. A variegates palette of colours was one of the outshining factors, which included mahogany red, rusty orange, pastel orange, navy blue, maroon, safari green and many others. The designer also showcased a few iconic handbags, which the brand is exclusively known for. A variety of embellishments like furs, belts, buttons, soft patch work etc. further added to the differentiated features of the collection.

580Meanwhile, if one is fond of getting attired in some light easy-to wear summer garments, with some exclusive feminine floral prints, stripes and polka dots, I’m Isola Marras’ ready to wear 2015 collection is the one of them.

These, these some of the mesmerising highlights of the first day of the Milan Fashion Week.
