Create a piece of wearable art that expresses your feelings about climate change, was the idea behind climate change fashion showcase which aims at mobilizing our collective creativity to deliver the most important political message of our times .

More than 100 people packed the Boathouse on Tuesday evening to view the spectacle, which was organised by a group of volunteers keen to bring the topic of climate change to the table.  Approximately 20 participants aged between16 to 65, entered their own designs for the show at Nelson, in enthusiasm of United Nations Climate Change Conference to be held in Paris, France, with an objective to achieve a legally binding and global agreement on climate from all the nations of the world. 1

The winning design, made by Stella Bogdanoff, took 100 hours of work to create with a range of materials including old ripped jeans. Another one was made from dry fish skin, involved skinning and curing the fish, then sewing it like linen.

Gay Cano, the organizer feel this is just the beginning – there would be more events to raise awareness for climate change to come.
