The 28 year old philanthropic model Charlie Siem has been tapped as the new face of the German luxury fashion house Hugo Boss.

With his bold looks and confident attitude, Charlie will be seen posing in the brand’s spring ad campaign. Shot by Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin in Chelsea, the campaign features Charlie posing gracefully with Hugo Boss shoulder bags and formal suits.

580A true violinist at heart and an otherwise occasional model, Charlie’s previous projects include editorial shoots in Vogue and CBS Watch magazine. He also appeared in a shoot in Karl Lagerfeld and Carine Roitfeld’s book ‘The Little Black Jacket: Chanel’s Classic Revisited’. He has also appeared in Dunhill’s ad campaign and was the face of Giorgio Armani’s Eau de Nuit fragrance.

200The New Delhi based whimsical designer Vijay Balhar’s Spring Summer 2015 collection is all about funky cocktail influences and quirky layering.

Aptly titled ‘The Fifth Density’, the collection is meant for those experimenting women who believe in styling off the edge and away from conventions. A cosmic palette of colours including rosy red, fuschia, classic blue and mild peach made the garments look extremely youthful and trendy.

Fairy tale bottoms and bulky frilled skirts were the highlighting features. The embellishments were all about being sultry yet classy, natural yet modern, simple yet extremely dynamic and glamorous. The wearability of the garments ranged from vintage evening wear to street and casual day wear.

580One cannot escape from the fact that such designs, such innovative silhouettes and such intricate way of designing garments can only delivered at the hands of the talented Vijay Balhara.

From his The Fifth Density collection, excess of boldness, dynamism and elegance can be spotted in just the accurate amount that today’s women desire.

The online fashion retailer Nasty Gal finally goes offline and makes its debut retail location by opening a 3,500 square foot store on Melrose Avenue in Hollywood, Los Angeles.

The store is designed by architect Rafael de Cardenas and takes its inspiration by concert stages with reflective surfaces and open, cage-like structures that juxtapose exhibitionism and privacy. It will offer an exclusive space for selected apparel, intimates, accessories, tech-gadgets, gifts and exclusive vintage pieces. Excitingly, it will also include a shoe salon, magazine library and a live cactus garden.

Meanwhile, Nasty Gal has been marking a forte each year since its inception in 2006 and has served over one million customers in more than 180 countries, with about 25% of its sales occurring outside of the US. It is highly famed for regularly updating its website with new offerings and has more than 1 million fans on the social media.

Well, let’s see if the store will be an equal success or will people continue ordering their favourite Nasty Gal items online.
