1When it comes to add-ons, innovations and accessorising, jewellery barely meets the styles and individualities that scarves cater to. One of the most user-friendly and diversely useful accessories, a scarf is something that rescues us from a bad clothes day! A simple plain black top can be made the outfit of the day, with a very stylish scarf, draped in the most unique way possible.

Sleek silk squares, cashmere stoles and oblongs are all our saviours when one falls short of a new way to dress with the old wardrobe, and the best part about them is that they can be draped in thousands of quirky and stylish ways!

However, these ways in which we drape our scarves for a new look every day, is all that is crucial to transform a boring look into an exciting chic look.

Here are a few ‘do it yourself’ and quick ways to drape your scarf which will prevent your time spent on thinking what to wear to be new every morning.

The necklace- Apart from the traditional standard loop for your scarf, you can try this necklace which not only gives a balanced amount of warmth and comfort around the neck, but also replaces all neck accessories with its off-edge and sophisticated look. For the necklace drape, fold a long scarf into half, lengthwise. Grab the diagonal ends and knot them together. Put it over your neck, then twist it and loop again.

The double twist knot- If you want your scarf to be a little lengthier and cover more of the upper body, the double twist knot is just the one for you. For this drape, fold the scarf into half, lengthwise. From the open end of the knot, insert the right end into the other loop, taking the left one above this half knot; twist it within this loop from the back side. Your double twists knot it complete!

videoThe bun and the bandana-For days when the weather is sulking hot and the sweat makes it even worse, twist and loop your favourite square scarf across your high-bun and well, who knows you might end up being the outshining personality of the day!

The side tie- This one is for your smooth silk stoles. To make it tom-boyish yet subtle and elegant, the side tie requires to be put around the neck, with one side longer than the other. Loop the longer side twice around the neck and tie a knot with the shorter side on either the left or the shoulder and balance the loop accordingly to make it cover the required bust area. Your all new side tie is ready!2

The cow girl- This drape looks like an extension or our necklace drape, however with the cowgirl twist. Also, our square scarves fit in the best with this drape. Diagonally fold your scarf and loop the end of the scarf from the front to the back of your neck. Get the knot in the front and tie another knot with it, pulling it slightly towards the shoulder. Balance the fabric around the neck to match your comfort level and your cow girl look is all set.

The bow-tieYou have an exotic evening ahead of you, and nothing glamorous to match the class of the occasion, grab your favourite stole in a single evening shade. Wrap it around the neck, with a slight incline towards the shoulder, and make a neat bow. You now have the most easy-to-wear and classy accessory for your desired sophisticated look.

3The braided necklace- Bored of your neck accessory collection? Pick up your favourite scarf and twist it multiple times into a braid. Loop it around your neck and your all new cloth neck piece is ready!

Spot your favourite drape today and get an exciting funky look to transform your wardrobes according to every single occasion!

430This collection has been a meditative, inward journey for me…serene, calm, silent and solitary, said Payal Jain about her Inde Bleu holiday collection.

It is representative of the long arduous journey of the free flowing river, meandering through the varied terrain, collecting infinite experiences along the way and finally merging into the vast ocean. As the river begins its journey from a tiny trickle at the top of the snow capped mountains, thus begins the story of “Inde Bleu.” The young river descends down shyly to discover every one of its strengths and attributes. As it glides down, it loses many parts of itself to nature.

“Inde Bleu” embodies fabrics, textures and weaves that are based on a language of profound and intimate spirituality. Carried forth by a meditative colour palette, rhythmic patterns, capricious currents and a bold attempt to bend techniques beyond their customary horizons & forms, the journey begins with crisp and structured shift dresses, jackets, dresses, waistcoats, giles, jodhpuri jeggings and trench coats to soft, free flowing gowns, full circular skirts, multi-panelled Angarkha tunics and voluminous blouses. The rich and vibrant indigo hues wash over the decadent silks, lustrous satins, earthy linen silks, creamy georgettes and fluid charmeuse. Ancient Mughal costumes have inspired the silhouettes, detailing, patch and appliqué work delicately and painstakingly crafted, tie-dye, arashi, bandhej and shibori inspired prints and patterns weave into the threads of the soul….sublime blues and whites calming the senses. Organic crochet appliquéd with indigo yarns, sea shells, bone beads, sparkling sequins and semi-precious uncut coral and lapeez create an ocean of under water corals, waves formations and sea life interpretations.

The show witnessed the presence of Industry’s who’z who, from JJ Valaya, Varun Bahl, Rohit Gandhi-Rahul Khanna, Sumant Jaikishan, Nida Mahmood, Robert Vadra, Manish Mehta, Pankaj Ahuja, Niki Mahajan, Ritu Kumar, Rina Dhaka, Reynu Taandon, Sylvie, Abraham & Thakore, Kewin, Ashish and Misha Soni, Rajiv and Ruchi Makhni, Rajesh and Payal Pratap Singh, Sunil Sethi, Namrata Joshipura, Sanjay Sharma, Vijay Arora, Paras and many others.
