Just a day ahead of the Grand Finale, day 6 of the Jakarta Fashion Week saw designers like VeronikaVidyanita, FomalhautZamel, Anastasia Hoeng, GregoriusVici, Khanaan, Kursien Karzai, Ria Miranda and Verenia Mia, and young and emerging designers like Hunting Fields and Hartono Gan.
A unique style of garments were displayed on the run way, including ethnic brocade long skirts, wrap-rounds and structured over coats amongst many others. Materials used were mostly hand-made and traditional such as cotton, polyester, silk and rayon, and a combination of all these. The colour scheme was also very royal and innate, including honey yellow, ridged black, earthy browns and much more.
Meanwhile, for men’s collection, the designers used a very sporty and funky look. However, the required grace and personality along with structured silhouettes, was the major highlight. Lengthy trench coats in leather and a stark black colour palette gave the models a very touch and strict look, well quite attractive for the ladies out there.
As we move on to final day of this South-East Asian Fashion celebration saw various Muslim and Indonesian designers namelyRistyTagor, AnggiaMawardi, ZaskiaSungkar,AriyArka, Rani Hatta and DyahAyuAnda.
Most of the creations were inspired by the traditionally rich cultures of Lombok. Also the innate Indonesian fabrics were showcased with an all new individualistic take, which raised huge amount of enthusiasm amongst the onlookers.
The final day also featured collection from other designers like AugusteSoesastro, Nur Zahra, PriyoOktaviano, SaptoDjojokartiko and Vinora Ng.
All in all, Jakarta Fashion Week was a full-swing one week fashion extravaganza which not only gave some of the emerging talents an effective platform, but also acted as an upliftment in the South-East Asian fashion world.
