The enthusiast started her works of creativity at the tender age of seven as she grew up making her own handkerchiefs. Having practiced the art of hemming, knitting and embroidering etc since childhood, Anavila’s decided to set pillars for her dream by joining NIFT, Delhi.

During her graduation days, she was chosen to manage a Craft Cluster Development Project by the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, in collaboration with NIFT. This milestone in her career intensified her keenness for Indian crafts and textiles. Furthermore, the designer is a nature admirer who showcases the same through her botanical inspired applique work.

Her creations are a unique invention of the casual linen sarees. She essentially concentrates patterns, colour combinations, drapes and folds. Most of her works are inspired by the Santhal women of Jharkhand, which give a unique edge of simplicity to her garments.

She marks her grand debut at the Lakme Fashion Week Summer Resort 2014, showcasing her collection titled ‘Secret Life of Forests’. Aptly titled, the linen sarees were made for the simple Indian women, printed with elements of nature.

Also, she retails her collection through Bombay Electric in Mumbai, Amethyst in Chennai , Raintree and Cinnamon in Bangalore.

Delna is a designer who has a passion for sports and reveals the same exclusively and effectively through her collection of hats, accessories, cocktail dresses and casual dresses. She studied designing from the American International Univeristy.

Her early experiences include working with ace designers like Manish Malhotra. She also collaborated with Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla for their accessory line during her years of learning. Her label has been in the market for almost a decade now to mesmerise its customers with some quirky pieces of hats and accessories.

The designer usually creates a collection wearable at the likes of thorough bred races. The regular debuts of her collection are at the family’s Poonawalla Breeders Multi-million. Moreover, she participates enthusiastically at the upcoming Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2014.

This contemporary designer aims to bring forth his love for hand embroidered creations inspired by oriental crafts. He graduated in Textile designing from the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad. His label, ‘Ashdeen’ is a creative amalgamation of different cultures, their traditions, handicrafts and Parsi Gara embroidery.

Ashdeen was sponsored by UNESCO Prazor Foundation to study and document the complex and sacred Zorastrian art of Kusti Weaving. The multi-talented designer also wrote a book in 2013 called ‘Threads of Continuity’. The book is about the Zorastrian craft of Kusti Weaving and won a huge critical appreciation among the audience.

Among the designer’s other experiences, he under-went a decade long research project on Parsi embroidery for the Ministry of textiles. Also, he showcased his collection at the Indian Textile Show, Lakme Fashion Week Summer Resort in 2013.

Some of his great achievements include his exhibitions titled ‘Painting with a Needle’ and ‘Parsi Panorama’ in Mumbai and Delhi, which made him shine bright in the crowd. Ashdeen’s entire collection is basically focussed on the Parsi garas’ range of contemporary dresses and evening gowns.

This designer believes in experimentation and innovation. She pursued her Masters in Science in Luxury Goods and Services from the International University of Monaco. Her label ‘Princess K’ was launched in July, 2009. The designer puts all her efforts in collecting her experiences, both in abroad and in India and assures a creative innovation at her label.

‘Princess K’ is an exclusive handbag store replete of handbags, accessorised clutches, sling bags etc of the latest designs and creativity, enhanced with Karishma’s experiences in French Rivieria.

The designer makes her debut in the fashion industry on a large front through the Lakme Fashion Week Summer Resort 2014.

This gen-next designer completed his graduation from the prestigious NIFT, Delhi. His early years of training were with the TATA group for leather processing and design centre based out of Indore. Some of his early experiences in the professional field were with Ministry of Textiles.

Speaking of his career in fashion, the designer worked with FDCI and WLIFW to put his first step in main-stream fashion. In the same filed, he has had training with the famous UK based brand ‘NEXT’. Thereafter, Lalit spent some years with a design project under the designer Rina Dhaka and worked with Kabir Leathers as the head in the R&D department. Also, he has worked as the head designer for Shantanu and Nikhil and shares the phenomenal experience of working as the head whilst their tie up with Adidas.

His professional achievements include being represented in LET’s design Season in 2004, ZOOM TV. He was also seen in the Hollywood design show ‘Design Genius’ Season 01 where he got the privilege of representing Asia for ‘Fashion One’.

Lalit Sengar now looks forward to his big break by participating in the upcoming Lakme Fashion Week Summer Resort 2014.

This experienced and enthusiastic designer defines fashion through her own eyes. She entered the world of glamour and fashion in 2007. Having completed her graduation in fashion designing from Raffles Design International, Mumbai in 2011, she was also awarded with the prestigious ‘Fashion Forward’ award for design.

Her early years of experience include internships with reputed magazines like Seventeen Indian and Bandana Tewari of Vogue India. While Veda’s professional experience includes working as the design assistant for Shivan and Naresh in Delhi and Payal Khandwalain in Mumbai.

The designer now looks forward to making her grand debut at the Lakme Fashion Week Summer Resort 2014, marking a milestone in her career.

Ken is a confident designer who believes in constructing his own pieces of creativity rather than merely creating them. He pursued his graduation in designing from L.S Raheja College in Mumbai. He launched his label, ‘Ken Ferns’ at the India Resort Fashion Week, Goa, in 2010.

The designers consecutively participated in the Lakme Fashion Week 2012 and 2013. His collection at the Lakme Fashion Week Winter/ festive 2013 was inspired by the theme ‘moon rise’. He also had Bollywood celebrities like Prateik Babbar and Amyra Dastur walking on the runway for him.

To sum up, the designer is the proud owner of the National Level Apex Trophy in the young designer category, and was among regional finalists in the Smirnoff international Fashion Awards.

This passionate and experienced designer completed her graduation from SNDT Mumbai. Her label ‘Lotus Sutr’ was introduced in 2010. Karishma’s unique attitude towards fashion and styling and her confidence is what marks her among the aces.

Lotus Sutr is a luxury store replete of fine quality clothing and fashionable accessories. Karishma’s passion for art through fabric and jewellery is effectively fulfilled through her label. She also participated in the Lakme Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2013, showcasing her collection ‘Between Smudged Lines’ under her label. The collection comprised of urban themes like graffiti, in artistically folded drapes and patterns. The colour range included a blend of earthy colours like rusty orange, mustard, brown and yellow.

The 34 year old enthusiast now looks forward to the upcoming season of Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2014.

An NIFT, Delhi graduate, Kanika is a young vivacious designer who completely believes in herself and her instincts in designing. Having pursued her Masters in Fashion Accessory Design from the University of Creative Arts, United Kingdome, her early years of experience include working with British designers like Anya Sushko and Rachel Freir in London.

Her label is creatively named ‘Square Loop’, which was launched in 2013. Her collection made a debut appearance at the Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2013. It was inspired by the theme ‘Recomposed Reality’ and was replete of monotone structured looks, in brown, beige, white etc, along with elegant classy handbags.

Kanika also participated in the ‘Wills India Fashion Week’ showcasing her collection ‘Bodice’. It was a collection comprised of contemporary handbags and accessories, an innovative attempt to break away from the conventional barriers.

This sister-in-law designer duo retail through their very own concept store named ‘House of Chic’. Of the two, Jinali is the founder/director of the store, which she kick-started at the tender age of 21. She has also had the privilege of having internships with leading designer hubs like Diesel India, Vogue and L’Officiel. She was later graced by Heena’s association with the brand and the two with their trendy ideas and experiences invented ‘House of chic’ which is also comprised of an in-house accessory line.

The sisters made a debut public appearance through the Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2013. The collection was artistically named ‘Dark Angel’, and was inspired by Tom burton. Synonymous to the title, the colour range varied from blacks and whites to greys. Femina Miss India 2007, Puja Gupta walked the ramp for Jinali and Heena, marking the highlight of the entire evening.
