This city-based textile designer is an alumnus of Chinmaya Vidyalay, Vaduthala. He graduated from the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad and did a brief stint at Ecole Nationale Supersieure Des Arts Decoratifs, Paris. He launched his label ‘ROUKA’ in 2013.

His earlier experiences in the fashion world include assistance under the renowned designer Rajesh Pratap Singh in 2010. Thereafter he freelanced with other designer companies doing several block prints and traditional crafts. Before he launched his ethnic label in October 2013, he taught print and woven textiles at the National Institute of Design.

Besides, the designer has had the professional experience if working on a collection for the first men’s fashion week organised by FDCI in New Delhi and got to work on developing Rogan printing for a modern context.

The three things that Sreejith feels passionate about are: the beautiful every day, the textile hand skills and an element of quirkiness. The three things are precisely the meaning of his label name, ‘Rouka’.

He marked a milestone in his career by participating in a platform like Lakme Fashion Week Summer Resort 2014.

This jewellery designer has been exhilarating the accessory freaks with her high profile handicraft finesse label ‘Mrinalini Chandra’. She pursued her training in fashion luxury from the Creative Academy, Milan and NIFT, New Delhi. She is remarkably talented and is extensively inspired by the rich cultures and poetic versus of India.

She also undertook special training in Milan and Italy which gave an extra edge to her design sensibilities. Mawi along with Tim Awan launched their internationally acclaimed accessory brand called ‘MAWI’. Mawi graduated in Fashion Designing from Auckland Institute of Technology and spent her formative years in New York. She then moved to London where she got acquainted to Tim and concluded ‘MAWI’.

Her early years of experiences include her accessory collection being showcased in the London Fashion Week 2002. Thereafter, she won the prestigious New Generation Award by the British Fashion Council for 3 consecutive seasons. Her other achievements include her winning the Mayor of the Hackney’s Best Product Design Award in 2009. She was further selected as the future luxury leader by Walpole British Luxury Brands of Tomorrow programme in 2010. She made it to the Professional Jeweller Hot 100 list in 2012.

Furthermore, Mawi and Tim were appointed on the judging panel of the jewellery category of the International Talent Support Awards (ITS) sponsored by Swarosvki ELEMENTS and Swatch. The designer believes in minimalist yet stylish creativity and has a strong belief in detailing. He curated his label ‘Kunal Anil Tanna’ in 2009. His professional qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Management followed by fashion designing course from NIFT, Mumbai.

Some of his greatest achievements include his winning of the ‘Best Designer Award’ in the National level for his graduation collection in 2005. Kunal has also had the commendable experience of working under the fashion icon Manish Malhotra.

Thereafter, he got the privilege for designing in various Bollywood fims like Kabhi ALvida Na Kehena, Om Shanti Om, Dostana and Jab We Met to quote a few. Following these projects he became the fashion business manager and concluded his label after four years of work experience.

He marked his grand debut public appearance by participating at the Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2014. His collection titled ‘Indigo Summer’ was based on the intricate blue pottery, unique to those specific parts of the country which have left a lasting impression on the designer himself.

Kunal retails his collection through a design studio at Off Linking Road, Mumbai and through other designer stores in Hyderabad, Mumbai and Delhi.

This multi-talented designer has been interested in designing and accessories since the tender age of twelve. Her qualifications include a bachelors degree in Commerce followed by a professional degree in designing from the London College of Fashion. She pursued Public Relations and Marketing for the refined brand Mango and launched her label ‘Junelia Auiar’ in 2011.

Her early experiences include modelling for brands like Idea Cellular, Thumbs Up, Diesel and Dove. She marked her entry in cinema by starring in ‘Everybody says I’m Fine’. She has done various other television shows, prints, commercials and films etc.

In the fashion industry, her experiences include a valuable internship under the designer Luella Bartley in London. Her participation in the Bollywood arena includes designing for actresses like Diana Penty, Genelia D’souza, Juhi Chawla, Prachi Desai and Sania Mirza among others. Some of her other achievements incorporate her pieces from the bridal collection being selected as the Coveted Bridal Look for 2013-2014.

The designer made her grand public appearance by a debut in the Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2014. Her collection was titled ‘Constructed’, and she designed an exclusive wardrobe for MissMilani. The designer now looks forward to more milestones in her career.

This designer duo feels passionate for the traditional Indian Wear, its cultural heritage and artisanal. They together launched their label ‘Jade’, an exclusive bridal wear, in 2008. The collection at Jade is derived from the duo’s experiences of a decade in the international fashion industry. The label is all about flattering gowns, elegant saris, stunning anarkalis and bespoke lehangas.

Of the two, Monica graduated from St. Martin’s London, and Karishma from the National Institute of Fashion Technology. Where the two aces have been engaged in the fashion world since 2008, they have also been designing for Bollywood celebrities like Madhuri Dixit, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Deepika Padukone.

The designers recently made a milestone public appearance by showcasing their collection titled ‘Bohemian Princess’ at the Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2014. They now look forward to opening M&K Designer Studio in Mumbai.
