L’Oréal Paris, the cosmetics giant announced its massive take over the Los Angeles based NYX cosmetics.

The latter is among the leading cosmetic brands in the market and is known for its comparatively less expensive products.

Moreover, both the brands are known for its refined quality and differentiated line of cosmetics. Well, the fashionistas now anticipate how exciting this collaboration would turn out to be?

This multi-faceted artist has come a long way in her career, which includes her progress from a basic training at SNDT, Mumbai, to the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. She possesses personalised excelling skills in draping, fashion illustration and merchandising and has a personal fondness for evening wear.

Speaking of her earlier achievements in the fashion arena, the designer backed the Best Embellishment Award at Chrysalis in 1996. Also, she has been a well-defined critic and a respected lecturer at FIT for 30 years, which includes her working with students in the program with her experience in many levels of creativity and the ability to realize the making and sewing of an original design.

Furthermore, a short-term training at an up-market boutique in Mumbai followed by working for an export house called Neepa Fashions, are also a part of her career. She then worked with acclaimed fashion designer duo, Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla for 2 years, which enabled Sana tremendously, to get an insight into the mainstream fashion ideology in India.

Moreover, the milestone of her career includes her studio, ‘Clothing Art’, winning an appreciation from the well-known fashion critic and judge of the fashion show at FIT, Anthony Muto.

With full exposure and prominent experience, the designer presently retails her collection in designer studios like Ogaan, Heritage and Studio Positive in New Delhi, Clothing Art Fashion Studio in Mumbai, Sukruti in Ahmedabad and Elahe in Hyderabad.

FDCI  announced today the dates for upcoming edition of six day couture extravaganza, India Couture Week 2014, to be held from 15th to 20th June at Taj Palace , New Delhi.

Top couturiers who will be showcasing there exquisite collections are Anamika Khanna, Anju Modi, Gaurav Gupta, Manish Arora, Manish Malhotra, Monisha Jaising, Rohit Bal, Varun Bahl, Rina Dhaka and Sabyasachi Mukherjee .

This self-styled designer has received no formal training in designing and began her career as a fashion designer in 1990, in Kolkata. Over the years, she has successfully carved a niche for herself in the Indian fashion world as she launched her label ‘Priya Awasty’ in 1999. For her creations, Priya has a great belief in maintaining brand quality and draws inspiration from the Kantha style of Kolkata.

Speaking of her label, the brand is replete of Indo-western garments and diffusion with pret designs. As a designer, Priya personally excels in fabrics like Silks, Crepes, Georgettes, Chiffons, Satins, Cotton and linen among others. Her main focus lies of embellishments and employs elements like beads, crystals, Swarovski, zari and antique zardosi for her creations.

Having enthralled the fashionistas with her exuberant couture and casual wear, the designer has come a long way progressing so much as to design for Bollywood celebrities like Ameesha Patel, Rani Mukherjee, Raveena Tondon and Mandira Bedi to name a few. Moreover, she also made some grandeur public appearances in high-ending platforms like Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week and the prestigious Lakme Fashion Week. These participations have enabled the designer to promote her creations among acclaimed fellow designers and the mainstream fashion world.

Presently, she retails her collection both at international and national levels. In India, her collections are available in designer studios like Melange in Mumbai, Folio in Bangalore, Espee and Zenon in Kolkata, Elahe in Hyderabad, Kimaya, Mogra and Aza in Mumbai, Bangalore, Calcutta and Hyderabad. Her creations can also be found in UK, Dubai, Kuwait, Bahrain, Abu-Dhabi, Qutar, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Spain, New York, LA, Florida and South Africa.

The thought provoking painting exhibition blending music and film with painting, ReBORN by Manoj Maurya was held at Nehru Centre, Mumbai.

The campaign will also feature other glitterati like Mariacarla Boscono, Jamie Bochert, and Peter Brant II, alongside this eighteen year model, who also walked the runway for the brand’s fall 2014 in Paris.

Shot by Mert & Marcus, the campaign is moody and dark featuring the brand’s latest collection replete of furry coats, glossy pull overs, lingerie, animal prints and many more.

Stunning jewels of extraordinary beauty

The Orchid represents one of the most popular floral motifs in Manila shawls.

A symbol of nature and elegance, this flower is the main theme of this collection that form part of the Seda Imperial Fine Jewelry line sculpted with exquisite delicacy by the Carrera y Carrera master goldsmiths.

In the early 19th century, the aristocracy distinguished itself from the bourgeoisie with particular preference for this flower as a symbol of higher social status.
