Karl Pet Collar NeckpieceWithout compromising on his larger-than-life aesthetics, Karl Lagerfeld does it again by designing an opulent piece of jewellery for an exhibition.

The designer has created a black diamond studded neckpiece, or say, a pet collar featuring a giant emerald piece in center. The eye catching exquisite piece set in black rhodium plated silver costs a whopping 29,000 pounds.

The piece will be on display from June 28 to July 4, 2012 at diamond exhibition Brilliant, a part of the Masterpiece London Fair in celebration of the Queen’s diamond Jubilee Year. The sale of this pet collar inspired neckpiece after exhibition will see a percentage of profits being donated to children’s charity CLIC Sargent.

Abercrombie & Fitch ScandalThe America based fashion and lifestyle brand, Abercrombie & Fitch is making the news all for fashionable reasons, as it has been sued by one of its former employees.

The lawsuit filed by Benjamine Bowers claimed that the company referred him to a modeling agent who got him to strip down and masturbate to take relaxed pictures. It claimed that modeling agent Brian Hilburnflew the model to Mississippi last year and convinced him to masturbate in front of the camera so his expressions during orgasm could be captured.

Benjamine who has sued the brand for $ 1 million added that it was Hilburn who later exposed himself and uttered some unwarranted comments on the relative size of their penises.

World’s Most Sustainable SuitWith an aim to turn Marks & Spencer into world’s most sustainable retailer, the brand has launched one-of-its-kind most sustainable men’s suit.

A product of four years of relentless experimentation, this suit is made of organic Australian wool, dyed and spun into yarn Italy, to be shipped to China along with around other 20 components. The interesting features are the linings made from recycled PET bottle polyester, recycled polyester zips, reclaimed pocket linings and reclaimed stray buttons. Even the care label is made from recycled polyester.

The suit which came as a key learning tool for the brand will help it develop more sustainable clothes including womenswear by the end of this year.

The Red Sole SagaThe red sole controversy seems like hitting the new grounds with a French court passing a ruling in favour of Spanish brand Zara which Christian Louboutin had sued for imitating its open-toed red sole design.

The designer known for his iconic heels which celebrities around the world dote on quipped caustically after losing the case, “Much of the discussion regarding the French court decision either implies or states that through this ruling we have lost our rights to our world famous Red Sole Trademark. We would like to clarify that what has been disputed and canceled is only one French registration of said Red sole Trademark.”

It was in 2008 when Louboutin registered the trademark, claiming the exclusive rights to make the shoes with red sole. And soon, it sued Zara for trademark infringement. After battling for couple of years, the recent ruling makes Louboutin utter, “Christian Louboutin continues to own valid and enforceable trademark rights in its Red Sole Trademark, including in France itself as well as throughout the world. A number of court decisions have recognized the strong association between Christian Louboutin and the Red Sole Trademark, including in France. Christian Louboutin will continue to protect and enforce its rights to its Red Sole Trademark which has been its iconic signature for the past 20 years.”
