H&M, reveal its fashion collaboration with platinum-selling recording artist Zara Larsson. The capsule collection – inspired by the Swedish pop sensation’s style – features strong graphics and edgy street wear pieces, and will be available globally.

Known for her playful and empowering songs, the Zara Larsson >< H&M capsule collection not only reflects the same messages of fierce and feminine women, but also the pop star’s personal style. Pieces such as an oversized hoodie and t-shirt dress, both emblazoned with hot pink graphics and strong feminist messages, are balanced by more body-con shorts and tops. The colour palette is dominated by a range of pinks, with silver and black as complements, while velour, denim, mesh fabrics and cotton jersey are the main materials.

Japanese Kansai Yamamoto is the inspiration behind Nicolas Ghesquière Cruise 2018 collection for Louis Vuitton, at the Miho Museum, designed by I.M. Pei, the architect of the Grand Louvre and its pyramids in Paris.

Known to stage his cruise shows at architectural landmarks, this time around Nicolas showcased at the entrance to the Miho Museum in Kyoto, Japan, where a metal tunnel emerges from verdant mountainside and runs across a suspension bridge.

The collection was all about sleek tailoring, graphic prints, short hemlines and dramatic makeup, with Japanese elements, from embroidered dragons to kimono-style belts while prints were designed in collaboration with Yamamoto.

The discovery of the Lascaux cave, in 1940, had a profound influence on the artists of the time. For Georges Bataille, it represented the dawn of humans. The power with which animals are depicted (deer, horses, oxen) takes us back to the infancy of mankind and its relationship to nature, as well as the invention of art.

In 1951, Christian Dior appropriated these rock paintings, making a print from them for his Ovale line, a form with allusions to primitive female depictions such as the Willendorf Venus.

It is this wild and ancient femininity, linked to the magic of the earth, that guided Maria Grazia Chiuri, Artistic Director of the Dior women’s collections, throughout the creation of her first cruise collection for the House. Thus, a feminine representation takes shape, bringing into the present this shamanic intuition, this wild, almost bestial spirit of which Clarissa Pinkola Estés writes in one of the designer’s favorite books: Women Who Run with the Wolves.

Maria Grazia Chiuri is constantly seeking new ways to embrace and explore the Dior heritage. And it is the prehistoric wolves which emerge from the Lascaux cave to take their place on extraordinary silk jacquards where the ocher, almost gold in color, contrasts with blacks. Female handprints, reinterpretations of the original forms, become magnificent sequined embroideries in earthy shades.

Dion Lee opened MBFW Australia Resort 2018, at Sydney’s opera house. Having established himself as the most critically lauded, and awarded, fashion innovator to emerge from Australia in recent times, he showcased intricate detailing and expert craftsmanship in his menswear line, which had rain slickers and blazers alongside Silky tracksuits, cool shirting, terry-towling sweaters and dresses.

Gucci is pleased to announce a new multifaceted project with British illustrator Angelica Hicks. Drawnto her offbeat creative approach and ironic tone, the House’s Creative Director Alessandro Michele has selected several of her illustrations for a limited-edition T-shirt collection.

The T-shirts have a unisex fit and each of the 11 styles is packaged in a vintage-style metal box, featuring the same illustration as the garment inside.

To celebrate this collaboration, Gucci will also unveil the follow-up to its first Art Wall. The Gucci Art Wall project will now extend with two designs by Angelica Hicks, one will appear at the same site in Manhattan as the first Art Wall, while another will be simultaneously revealed on a wall in Milan’s Largo la Foppa.

Mothers are not just givers of life, but also the ones who ensure we get the best of everything, every day. The one person in this world who accepts you just the way you are! There’s some large, overwhelming, and beautiful piece at the centre of motherhood that is so hard to put into words. It’s a feeling, not an explanation! Something called ‘mother’s love’!

While Mother’s Day is traditionally celebrated to show love to your own mother, “Why can’t we on this Mother’s Day spare a thought to those people in our lives who may not have given birth to us but have showered us with the same kind of mother’s love, caring and warmth”.
It could be your sister – always there to listen and share your deepest darkest secrets with. Come to think of it, why not your father? Has he not, beyond his role of being a provider, been there for you, nurtured you, stood by you and defended you against your worst detractors?

This Mother’s Day gift the person who has shaded your life with colors of Love, Care, Compassion and Trust. With every sacrifice, she made and every small thing she gave, she is worthy of much more than can be defined.

Modern day mothers have no time for themselves, so go ahead and gift her with special services like Salon at home, Makeup Artist at home, Beauticians, Dieticians, can help you make her day very special. Apart from this if your mother is a fitness freak or a music and dance lover than you can surprise her with Yoga Instructor as well as a Guitar & Keyboard Instructor at home or Zumba, Salsa dance classes.

You can even surprise her with a self-drive luxurious Mercedes car for this day, and see the unbelievable happiness on her face while sitting in her dream car. From clothes to footwear to accessories, let your gift speak your mind while her eyes speak her love.

For the last eight years, CHANEL has installed its ephemeral boutique, from April to October, in the legendary village of Saint Tropez, each time with an original décor. For the seventh year running the La Mistralée townhouse welcomes the House, and has been transformed once again.

This season Paris makes a stop-over in the famous marina. The cut stones typical of Parisian facades, notably those of the Ritz Paris, find themselves inside the boutique with a luxurious harmony that shapes each room. On the floor, unpolished beige stone traces an understated line. Sections of slanting wall break up the strict geometry of this space. White alcoves with a black background, like closed windows illuminated with LEDs, are integrated into the walls and provide settings for the season’s accessories. Stone monoliths surge up from the floor and present the handbags and shoes, as well as the Coco Crush Fine Jewellery collection and the latest J12 and BOY∙FRIEND watch creations. A selection of High Jewellery will be also presented in July and August.

In the verrière, a glass-roofed room, the centre of the beige stone floor welcomes a square rug with red bricks, a nod to certain Parisian edifices. It is echoed by a brick drop ceiling. Once again, the exterior finds itself within, breaking from the traditional codes of a boutique. A long linear rail of 22 meters suspended from the ceiling presents the Ready-to-Wear pieces.

This very particular red brick is also used to cover the pool house. No less than ten thousand bricks were required to complete it. Staggered and sealed with pinkish-beige cement, they form an elegant mashrabiya. Inside, surrounded by sections of cut-stone wall positioned diagonally, CHANEL has recreated a veritable made-to-measure luxury dressing room. It’s an invitation to feel at home in complete intimacy, at that moment when it’s time to choose an outfit for day or night.

The garden is a peaceful haven. A small terrace is flowered with cacti in terracotta pots. The swimming pool is tiled with beige travertine. Armchairs and deck chairs in bronze and chocolate leather beckon clients to sit back and relax around the little industrial-style tables.

The new ephemeral boutique in Saint-Tropez will be open from April 22nd to October 2nd 2017.
