The 70th edition of Cannes 2017, will mark the beginning of not only the screenings, but of 12 days of celebration!

Here are the events that will take place throughout this 70th edition.The Festival will celebrate its 70th edition by initiating brand new tailor-made events and inviting numerous stars and personalities.

PUBLISHING OF CES ANNEES-LA (EDITIONS STOCK), the anniversary book, an anthology of original reports on their Cannes experience by sixty French and foreign journalists.

The program of the 2017 edition of Cannes Classics consists of twenty-four screenings, one short film and five documentaries. The films will be screened in the Palais des Festivals, Salle Buñuel or Salle du Soixantième.

On the opening night, from early evening until late at night, the Festival offers a WELCOME PARTY to greet the festival-goers and the press. The party will take place on the Plage du Majestic (Majestic beach) as well as on the Agora, with live music by the Fantasy Live Experience Orchestra and DJ Daddy Ryton.

Steven Khalil, presented his magic yet again at the MBFW resort 2018 in Sydney, with a dress worth $100,000, is the most expensive dress till date at MBFWA. It featured a see-through mesh bodice, full bodied beaded skirt and floor-length tulle veil. The dress was tailored more for Middle East, said the designer, which took more than 300 hours to create, 3-4 seamstresses and more than eight months of planning.

Alice McCall, started the day with Bon Bon, resort ’18 collection, which was a celebration of sorts, with flirty, fun, femininity of the 1940s and ’80s was shown in smokey ostrich feathers, rouched sleeves and swishy skirts in pastel hues of apricot, ocean blue, lemon and rose.

Hansen and Gretel collection was one we wish for the summer, in leopard, tropical and candy-pink while silhouettes were in crossover straps, tiered ruffle skirts, paper-bag waists and button down dresses.

However, Sass & Bide resort was heavily embellished, with sequins, silhouettes were structured and sometimes short, in gold, silver, black and white as key colours.

#CottonIsCool campaign, an initiative by the Ministry of Textiles is going viral, initiated by Smriti Irani, by posting her picture on twitter, which gave her “Cotton is Cool’ look.

Since then, it’s been trending on the social media with the FDCI President Mr. Sunil Sethi promoting it along with all designers and bloggers posting their picture in “cotton cool’ look.

The campaign was built up through a series of “Do You Know” facts that included trivia such as the origin of the word ‘Calico’ under #CottonKatha.

Actress Priyanka Chopra dazzled on the red carpet wearing the Celestial Ring from the NIRAV MODI Celestial collection at the “BAYWATCH” Film Premiere in Miami, Florida.
