1Nike opened its largest store in India, located on Brigade Road in Bengaluru. The store lays special emphasis on the sport of running offering a wide choice of world class products and specialized services catered to her.

The 7355 sq ft store is spread across three levels offering a selection of apparel and footwear for competition, training and lifestyle across a variety of sports including running, football, cricket, basketball, tennis and women’s training.

The store boasts multiple services for the runner such as gait analysis and is a hub for the Nike+ Run Club in Bangalore. Every weekend, consumers can register for free to partake in runs under the guidance of NRC coaches K.C. Kothandapani and Reeth Abraham.

Athletes representing a variety of sports such as Cricketers R. Ashwin, Shubhlakshmi and Karun Nair, Footballers Sunil Chhetri, Subrata Pal and Jyoti Ann Burrett, Nike+ Run Club coach Reeth Abraham, Shooter Heena Sidhu and Boxer Sarita Devi along with sports entrepreneur Abhishek Bachchan were present at the store launch.

After series of talks with The Humane Society of the United States and The Fur Free Alliance, renowned brand Hugo Boss has committed to going fur-free by the end of next year.

The fashion company will be dropping all fur, including rabbit fur from the Fall/Winter 2016 collection onward. With this announcement Hugo Boss has joined a growing list of brands and retailers who have pledged to stop using fur in their collections, including Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein and Stella McCartney.

The Fur Free Alliance hopes other luxury brands will follow Hugo Boss’s lead.

British brand Alexander McQueen unveiled its fall ad campaign which explored femininity and the importance of being different.

Shot by photographer David Sims in his London studio, the campaign includes new faces like Ruth Bell, Julia van Os and Jamilla Hoogenboom.  In one photo, van Os is partially covered by shadow, while revealing a lacy bralette. In the other picture Bell is standing against a pastel wall, showing off her Farrow-esque buzz cut crafted especially for the campaign. Amplifying the romanticism is a bloodlike crimson border that frames each image.

The full campaign will appear in select publications by September 2015.

Day 2:

Day 2 of Paris haute couture focused on new stunning and opulent collections by well-known brands like Christian Dior and Giambattista Valli.

Bertrand Guyon first collection for Schiaparelli included tuxedo pants, gossamer biker jackets and quilted opera coats to mohair midiskirts and capes. He included diverse decoration, from feathery, watercolor brushstrokes on gossamer fabrics to laser-cut Plexiglas clattering like jewels on a tulle cardigan and matching skirt. Dice Kayek collection exuded 70s vibe with billowy peplums made of heavy double-face satin, double-breasted top, slashed off jackets and mini-dresses with shell like shoulders.

Dior’s latest couture collection by Raf Simons brought white dresses with cuffs embroidered with feathers, bold cape-coat with dramatic fur sleeve. He introduced long sheer column silhouettes in chiffon, gowns with high-cinched waists and wide, billowing sleeves that mirrored the old Flemish styles. On other hand Ralph & Russo presented a 1960s-tinged collection that had palazzo pants and tailored jumpsuits for daytime, to pretty cocktail frocks and sexy slim mid-length pencil dresses. There was a medieval princess feel to the long narrow evening capes and gowns in gold with lace and floral embroidery, appliqued with feathers.

Giambattista Valli’s romantic couture collection presented billowing maxi dresses, Grecian-style robes, slim-fitting lace trousers, voluminous skirts and dresses in cascades of tulle. There were pretty mini-dresses, fluid peplums decorated with delicate floral motifs. For his couture collectionSerkan Cura  created a series of cocooning outerwear pieces, including an enveloping A-line coat with sewn-in collar, which was made of ivory-colored alpaca fur and matching feathers. Other Standouts looks included a white organza dress made of laced elements tightly bound together; a blue cage made of rows of eyelet tape and lace; a cushy fox fur gilet worn as a dress.

1Italian designer Roberto Cavalli  has launched fragrance Roberto Cavalli Essenza, which is the new intense edition of the original Roberto Cavalli EDP from 2012.

Roberto Cavalli Essenza is defined as Oriental Floral perfume for women, which is intense, sophisticated and opulent. The scent’s top note has a stimulating hint of bitter almond essence that makes an introduction to the sensual heart of orange blossom absolute. The base includes notes of vanilla.

The fragrance is available as 75 ml Eau de Parfum Intense.

Irish fashion designer Zoë Jordan has collaborated with the River Island on its Design Forum project.

The high street fashion brand will work with the designer known to infuse her creativity in the 11-piece collection. Zoe took inspiration from the Deep Purple lyrics ‘Smoke on the water, fire in the sky’ and has created misty prints and charcoal hues for the collection. The affordable capsule collection will feature striking, luxe-feel and ombre effect.  There will be cargo shorts, leather cut tee and tailored two-piece suit, faux fur bolero and t patent leather parka.

The new clothing range will launch via a short film at London Fashion Week at the British Fashion Council’s Fashion Film event. X River Island Design Forum collection will be available in store and online at Riverisland.com in September.

Renowned cosmetic brand MAC is set to open its first makeup studio at 825 Lexington Avenue in New York.

Build over an area of 950-square-foot, the six-chair makeup studio will feature glossy smoked mirrors, long low sofas, wood floors and two V.I.P. seats perched behind a swingy metal beaded curtain. A wide range of brand’s makeup collections will also on be display from which customers can choose according to their wish.

On their visits, customers can ask questions and get tips from the makeup experts. The salon will provide makeup lessons, host beauty parties and can supply services to events like weddings.

Luxury fashion house Prada unveiled its latest fall 2015 ad campaign which represented the idea of minimalism and modern femininity.

Art Director David James of DJA partnered with famed photographer Steven Meisel to capture a bevy of beauty in Meisel’s New York studio. The result is a light, soft, clean and super chic campaign full of group shots of models Avery Blanchard, Estella Boersma, Greta Varlese, Lineisy Montero, Ine Neefs, Inga Dezhina, and Maartje Verhoef. There’s a sense of isolation created through the arrangement of the models that are not looking at or touching each other but staring at an unspecified object off-camera.

1Miu Miu has recently launched its first fragrance which captures the provocative and attractive spirit of the brand.o.33710

Created by perfumer Danielle Roche Andrier, the scent has notes of lily of the valley along with notes of jasmine, rose and green notes. The perfume also has notes of akigalawood which is special ingredient created by Givaudan, derived from the leaves of the patchouli, which adds a flavor of wood-peppery accent.

Inspired by special material characteristic of luxurious Miu Miu’s matelassé leather bags, the perfume comes in a Turquois flacon body with white neck carrying the brand’s logo and bright red plastic disk stopper.

The fragrance will be available as 30, 50 and 100ml Eau de Parfum accompanied with perfumed body care products. It will be presented exclusively at Harrods in August 2015.
