The extremely talented and skilled Chris Moore will be honoured with the one and only Special Recognition Award at the 2014 British Fashion Awards. Marking a never-ending forte in the fashion industry for a time span of six decades, Moore will be graced by this memento for his remarkable career.

580He began his career at the tender age of 19 as an in-house studio assistant at Vogue Studios after having completed a two year apprenticeship in the photographic department of a London print house. As years passed by, he evolved as a philanthropic fashion photographer and set up catwalking.com in 1999, which ended up being one of the industry’s most useful tools for researchers, designers, press, buyers, stylists, photographers, casting agents and producers.

Besides, some of his milestone accomplishments over the years include him being awarded a professorship at the London College of Fashion in 2006. Thereafter in 2008, he was named among the top 100 most influential people in UK fashion by the London Evening Standard and in 2012 he received the Lifetime Achievement Award at Graduate Fashion Week.

Following comes the Special Recognition Award in 2014, which is both highly welcomed and extremely well deserved in the hands of an achiever and a legend like Moore.

The American fashion house Ralph Lauren continues to mark its forte by curating an all new illuminated version of the brand’s signature hand bag-the ‘Ricky bag with light’. This exciting new wearable tech will come with an in-built LED light and internal USB charger for a smart-phone.

Code-named Ultimate, the bag has been under processing for roughly eight months. It is hand-made in Italy from 50 pieces of leather and rose gold hardware. It will debut on limited release for the gift-giving period with only 10 Ralph Lauren shops having samples available for special order, and will then go on wider distribution in February. Also, the very first version of the bag will be available in a 33-centimeter size in the standard black colour.
